Adaptive Techology

I found this assignment interesting. I didn't know there were so many different things you can change on your computer for someone with a disability. I know my mom's vision isn't all that good and she loves to play games on her computer. Sometimes it hurts her eyes and gives her a headache when she is on it too much. Now I know a way to help her out some by looking through the accessibility features on my computer. I think technology is great and that everyone should be able to use it.

Hi Barbara,
I too did not know there were so much helpful adaptive technology already built in on our computers. I was fascinated when I checked mine out. That is great that you learned something in this class to help your mother.

Barbara you are so right. It is such a great thing to know that there are things you can do to your computer to help you see better. I also have a hard time seeing after staring at my screen for any lenght of time. I am glad to know that there are things I can do to accomadate for this.

Well I am right there with you too. I did not realize there was so many resources to use to adapt technology. With the information I have learned, I can help my father in law because he has a degenerating disease of his eyes and he is loosing his sight day by day. Right now he has to have his computer on a larger font, but I am not for sure if he knows about the built-in accesibility features for his computer. I will have to check out his computer and see if I can do anything else to help him with this. Great that you could too help your mom with this as well.

Hi barbara,
I mixed things up on accident and did my blog last week so it wasnt very relevent to this weeks assignment. I was amazed by all the software and programs out there for the dissabled. I found it interesting that I had so many options already programed on to my computer. I would have never know they were there if it weren't for this assignment.
